This isn’t a cookie-cutter certification.
You won’t just learn Pilates. You’ll learn how to teach it in a real studio.
At Pulse, we focus on:
Creating instructors who understand why, not just how
Building confidence through real teaching experience
Prioritizing safety, alignment, and intentional movement
Fostering a supportive, community-driven environment
You’ll leave not just certified—but prepared.
Students learn movement patterns first—flexion, extension, rotation, and stability—so they can teach beyond memorization.
Pilates is a strength system. We emphasize:
Tempo and time under tension
Resistance and load
Muscular endurance
Unilateral strength
We prioritize:
Cueing and communication
Reading the room
Hands-on and verbal corrections
Teaching across levels and class sizes
Graduates learn how to:

Sequence safely and effectively
Balance muscle groups
Adapt for different bodies and goals
Breathwork, core connection, neutral vs imprint spine
Flexion, extension, rotation, pelvic stability
Mat repertoire, form, modifications, progressions
Equipment setup, springs, foundational series
Sequencing, flow, muscle balance
Cueing, corrections, class management
Progressive overload, tempo, unilateral work
Final review, written exam, practical exam
Our Spring 2026 certification cohort is designed to provide a structured, hands-on learning experience over the course of 8 weekends. Additional program details, materials, and expectations will be shared upon enrollment.
All in-studio sessions will take place at:
Pulse Pilates
8601 Sunset Blvd.
Rowlett, TX 75088
This cohort will begin on May 1st and run across 8 consecutive weekends, combining guided instruction, hands-on training, and built-in time for practice and integration.
Training sessions will be held at the following times:
Fridays: 6:15 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 1:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Sundays: 1:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Each weekend is intentionally structured to build upon the previous one, allowing you to progressively develop your understanding of both mat and reformer Pilates while gaining confidence in your teaching skills.
The program follows a progressive structure designed to build both knowledge and confidence over time.
You will begin with mat-based training to establish a strong foundation in Pilates principles, alignment, and movement patterns. From there, you will transition into reformer work, where you will learn proper equipment setup, safety, and how to guide clients through a full range of exercises across varying levels.
As the program advances, the focus will shift toward more intermediate and advanced applications, including class sequencing, adaptability, and refining your ability to teach with clarity, intention, and confidence.
In addition to in-studio training, students are required to complete independent hours designed to support skill development, confidence, and real-world application.

250 hours self-study
300 total hours
